JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Human Resource Officer to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting our mission by managing all aspects of human resources, from recruitment to employee development and compliance.
As a Human Resource Officer at Alpha Security, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's workforce, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations. Your responsibilities will encompass recruitment, employee relations, training and development, policy implementation, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Onboarding: - Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and job requirements.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and reference checks.
- Facilitate new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
2. Employee Relations: - Act as a primary point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Promote a positive workplace culture by organizing team-building activities and employee engagement initiatives.
- Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
3. Training and Development: - Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Coordinate training sessions on topics such as security protocols, safety procedures, and customer service.
- Monitor employee progress and provide feedback for improvement.
4. Policy and Compliance: - Stay up-to-date with labor laws and regulations relevant to the security industry and ensure company compliance.
- Develop and update company policies and procedures, communicating changes to employees.
- Maintain accurate records of HR-related documentation, including contracts and employee files.
5. Benefits and Compensation: - Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Handle payroll-related tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Address employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources preferred or a business-related field and three to five years of successful and progressively responsible supervisory level experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):
* Bachelor s degree in Human Resources or a related area strongly preferred.
* Experience in HR at a minimum of a supervisory level that includes strongly developed competencies in behavior-based talent acquisition and employee relations.
* Thorough understanding of laws and regulations as they apply to employment.
* Intermediate level of skill in the Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HR technology.
* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal and consultative communication skills.
* Experience developing competency models and their application to HR processes preferred.
* The highest level of integrity and the ability to remain steadfast in protecting the Company.
* Ability to travel on an occasional basis as needed by the Company.
